I started this as a Christmas gift for my husband's best friend; it's his original character, Adam!
It took so long, but at least I was able to finish it right before we left AZ. A special gift for very best friend and artist, Scott Kolins (to congrats his new and super awesome book, Adam.3 !!) Practice of light and color, especially skin color. Also working on this; silhouette -> rough line drawing for design details (right now) -> finish line drawing -> then will paint.
Since the first set(modern themed) of my personal project is almost done, I started 2nd set, which is sci-fi themed concept. :)
When the finals done, all including silhouettes will be uploaded in Concept / Character. I think it's great way to study objects; not only understanding forms and shapes better
but also good practicing to think about relationship between a object and the environment/situation. Above all, I'm having fun. I just found an old head drawing that I did for one of Academy's classes, and that I liked, so made her as a knight :)
You can see the final work at Concept > Character. I just suddenly wanted to paint fallen angel (don't know why) and big clouds.
These days, doing concept line drawings and paintings that I'm trying to give traditional oil painting feelings. Wish I can start real Oil painting again soon :) - painting station's ready but don't have time for it yet. Mostly speed paintings but some are not. Study of light, comp., texture use, etc. Below: copying one of Robert E. McGinnis' paintings
A Board Game I made; did game design, game arts, graphic design including UI and packaging, and figurines (some figurines are just modified) It was one of the most exiting and fun experience of creation! Especially when you see people playing the game you made, nothing more exiting than that! All artworks are created based on my Final Thesis ,which was a big set of concepts for a game, for the school, Origin of Dark. So some artworks you might already see at the 'Concept' menu. As I remember, 69 or so cards were needed. I finished half of them (I guess), and others still going on now as more-like doodling.
